About

NEW EXHIBITION AT THE BEACHY HEAD STORY

Discover tales of trade, networks of innovation and explore some of the ancient routes connecting communities and landscapes in Eastbourne. Follow the threads of Saxon weavers and find out how these skills influenced the development of a liminal settlement between the Downland and Wetlands of Eastbourne. Marking 10 years since the discovery of a significant archaeological site in Eastbourne, this exhibition will explore 3000 years of large scale industry, settlement and burial grounds and the extraordinary objects made and used by the people living there for the first time
