The Eastbourne Hospitality Association (EHA) was initially formed in 1925 by a small group of hoteliers and named itself the Eastbourne Residential Hotels Association. The purpose was to meet up, discuss the issues of the day and share ideas/experiences.
Eastbourne was soon established as one of the most popular holiday destinations and the town expanded rapidly. With the growth of hotel accommodation, the association was renamed Eastbourne Hotels Association.
The town continued to prosper and saw a wide variety of guest accommodation on offer, as well as a rise in restaurants and attractions. By 1998 the association was in such a strong position, the decision was taken to purchase the building Kestrel House, of which is still owned and now leased.
In 2006 the association could see the benefit of representing all areas of hospitality and repositioned itself to become the Eastbourne Hospitality Association.
Today we have over 140 members from across the tourism industry.
