Live Music and Real Ale Return to the Winter Garden

The final line-up of beers, ciders and perries – alongside a soundtrack of glam rock, 80s classics and rock and pop – has been revealed ahead of Eastbourne’s November Beer Festival.
The three-day event takes place in the newly refurbished Winter Garden in the town’s Devonshire Quarter on Thursday, Friday and Saturday November 18-20.
Tickets are available to buy now and customers are advised to book early as many sessions are close to selling out.
The festival promises more than 90 cask ales on offer, specially selected by the local CAMRA team and customers can take their pick from award winners, local favourites or those with a suitably quirky name.
This year’s offerings include the Long Man Brewery’s Rising Giant, Gun’s Chummy Bluster, Roosters’ Capability Brown, Buxton’s Right To Roam and Any Porter in a Storm from the Thirst Class Ale brewery.
There is also a great selection of ciders and perries available if beer isn't for you, plus a variety of international bottle beers and wines, not to mention cocktails.
The session on Thursday will offer the greatest variety of real ales, with the beer selection reducing amongst the most popular tipples, as the festival progresses.
Drinks can be purchased in half or full pints and are served from chilled casks. All drinks must be bought with tokens at £12 per sheet, which can be purchased from ticket booths in the venue.
Each festival session brings customers a variety of entertainment and live music from acoustic to rhythm and blues, and the weekend soundtrack will come courtesy of a superb line up of musicians performing on stage across all three days.
Eastbourne band The Stray Dogs will kick off the festival’s entertainment from 5.45pm – 7.30pm on Thursday 18th November followed by Jazz Groove Collective from 8pm onwards.
The Jazz Groove Collective is an excellent line up of five musicians playing a selection of jazz standards, Latin, funk and groove tunes.
On Friday 19th November it’s the turn of Bowie Music from 6.15pm performing a tribute to David Bowie through the golden years. And headlining that night from 8.30pm will be Fat Freddie and the Queens, a larger-than-life professional Queen Tribute Band whose members take the music seriously but not themselves
The afternoon session on Saturday 20th November gets underway at 11.45am with music from Gadzooks: performing folk, country, pop and swing music.
They will be followed by Eastbourne’s Watson Brothers from 2pm playing music across the decades in many styles from jazz, rock to pop and all your favourite sing along and dance tunes.
Festival goers can enjoy funk, rock and guilty pleasure from The Criminal Records in the evening from 6.30pm before headliners Morph Ska 6 – a high energy Ska and Two-Tone tribute band - take to the stage at 8.45pm.

“The beer festival is being held inside the beautiful and newly refurbished Winter Garden and this much loved venue is the perfect backdrop for this. It’s an event not to be missed.”
While Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted since July, those attending the beer festival are encouraged to take lateral flow tests ahead of attending the event.
Tickets are available now with online ticket prices starting from £9 per adult with discounts for students and CAMRA members. Sessions are available 5.30pm – 10.30pm on Thursday, 6pm – 11pm on Friday and 11.30am – 4.30pm and 6pm – 11pm on Saturday.
