Can you spare some time to be a volunteer?
2025 welcomes the 45th year of the Beachy Head Marathon event and sees the return of the third Beachy Head Ultra! With over 2000 runners, walkers and joggers over the weekend taking part, we require volunteers with smiling faces and lots of cheers to make the event extra special for our participants and ensure the event is another success.
Do you have a few hours to spare on Saturday the 25th or Sunday the 26th of October? Would you like to volunteer to help marshal sections of the course or hand out medals at the finish line? Then we would love to hear from you!
The Beachy Head Marathon events start and finish on Upper Dukes Drive in Eastbourne and participants follow a course over some of the most photogenic down-land in the new South Downs National Park. The course meanders through the villages of Jevington, Alfriston, Litlington, Friston Forest, The Cuckmere Valley and across the Seven Sisters to Birling Gap and Beachy Head before heading back down to Upper Dukes Drive.
The Beachy Head Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and Beachy Head Ultra all take place over the weekend and we require volunteers for a variety of roles between 07:00am and 06:00pm on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th of October 2025. Without our volunteers, the event simply cannot happen, so we are always grateful for any time you are willing to give up to help out at our event. October weather can be difficult to predict but volunteers must guarantee to turn up whatever the weather come rain or shine. As a thank you, all volunteers receive a complimentary Beachy Head Marathon hoodie for giving up your time to ensure the event goes ahead!
So if you would like to be part of our wonderful team of volunteers, please complete the form using the link below and we will be in touch with further information.
If you do volunteer:
• You must guarantee to turn up for your stewarding role whatever the weather.
