Supporter information
The Beachy Head Marathon courses run through the South Downs National Park coast and countryside and are therefore blessed with an almost entirely spectator-friendly route.
There are numerous places to enjoy the spectacle of the event and cheer on the runners. We do recommend dressing up warm if you are spectating and take waterproofs with you!
Great vantage points include:
- Start/finish point on Dukes Drive (by Bedes School) – see start times here. Arrival times will vary but are usually around 2.40 – 3 hours after the start of the Marathon, 35 minutes for the 10k, 4 hours for the Ultra and 1.20 hours for the Half
- Beachy Head offers great views with car parking, toilets, a takeaway café and a pub with views of the downland
- Seven Sisters Visitor Centre at Exceat also offers car parking, toilets, a café and nearby pub
- Brighton & Hove Buses Coaster route covers many viewing spots along the way
Please see each individual route to gauge an idea of where you would like to support from.
Road closures will be in operation on Duke’s Drive and Upper Duke’s Drive for safety reasons, with access to businesses maintained. We recommend avoiding small villages such as Litlington and Alfriston due to the increased traffic and difficulty in parking.
