It’s time to dust off your bike and get ready for a brand new event - The Eastbourne Big Bike Ride, taking place 22-28th June 2020.

 

The Eastbourne Big Bike Ride is a free community event encouraging families and households to venture out on their bikes and explore Eastbourne. No registration is required, simply pick a time, date (between 22-28 June) and route that is convenient to you and begin your bike ride. You can choose from one of our suggested routes or go off on your own adventure!
 

You can participate for fun or you may wish to fundraise for a good cause of your choice! All ages are welcome to take part and a parent and/or guardian must take responsibility for the actions of a child/youth rider at all times.
 

We want to see your cycling selfies! Share your cycling photos between 22nd – 28th June on social media with the hashtag #ebbigbikeride or post them directly into our Facebook event page, to be in with a chance of winning! We will be picking one winner from each of the following categories:

Themed Outfit/Best Dressed

Scenic Selfie

Household Photo

Newcomers (kids)

Winners will receive a £20 Phoenix Cycles Voucher, 1 set of LED bike lights and a puncture repair kit, courtesy of our friends at Phoenix Cycles.

We recommend that you have your bike serviced in advance of the event and recommend the following local bike shops to help get you kitted out for your ride.

Please make sure you follow our safety tips and ensure that you and all family members wear a helmet and have a pump and puncture repair kit handy!

Please also comply with government guidance throughout the event including, but not limited to, social distancing, limited interaction with people from other households and remember to wash your hands! The rules of the road/public paths apply, please follow official cycle routes and do not cycle on areas designated for pedestrians only, including sections of the seafront promenade.

Photo competition terms and conditions:

Winners will be selected by Visit Eastbourne and will be notified via the social media account that posted the winning photo
Vouchers and prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
Vouchers must be redeemed with 6 months of receiving them
All prizes to be collected from event partner Phoenix Cycles
