Getting Eastbourne Covid-Ready for Business

Eastbourne's brand new 'Covid-Ready' quality assurance scheme is designed to provide all the latest guidance and support for your businesses as you reopen following the coronavirus outbreak, while also reassuring customers, that their visit will meet the highest safety standards.

Free to Join

The scheme is free to join and covers multiple industry sectors including accommodation, restaurants, shops, pubs, takeaways and open air markets, with each able to display a visual marker, identifying the business as having met essential safety criteria.

UK's First Primary Authority Supported Scheme

The scheme is supported by the European Regional Development Fund and East Sussex Primary Authority, which includes Trading Standards, Environmental Health and East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service. It is accessible to all business sizes and provides expert guidance on best practice for social distancing measures, cleaning regimes, staff training and responding to signs of infection.

Covid-Ready is the UK's first Primary Authority supported scheme and it has been launched by the Eastbourne Hospitality Association in partnership with VisitEastbourne, the Chamber of Commerce and Eastbourne’s Business Improvement District.

How does it work?

Download the toolkit, checklists and relevant risk assessment template for your business sector
Complete your risk assessment and implement your control measures
Sign up online and complete the declaration to confirm you are Covid-Ready
Your Covid-Ready pack will arrive including a window vinyl and the Covid-Ready logo, available for you to use in all communications
Your business may also appear as Covid-Ready on the VisitEastbourne website (please note a listing fee may be payable for non-members of VisitEastbourne or the partner organisations).
