Friends of Eastbourne Hospital Autumn Art Exhibition

About

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October, the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital will be holding their annual Autumn Art Exhibition in the school gym of St. Andrew's Prep in Meads. 390 paintings and portfolios by local artists will be on display and available for purchase throughout the weekend, with highlights of the exhibition including a painting demonstration by well-known local artist, Roz Nathan, at 2pm on Saturday, and a raffle for the painting 'Venice' by Ray Phillips. The Friends are also holding a silent auction for the painting 'The Cuckmere' by the late John Powley. On Sunday, caricaturist Ian Parratt will be sketching fun portraits of guests for a donation of £10 per picture to the Friends. Artwork by St. Andrew's students will once again be shown at the event. Open from 10am to 4pm each day, entrance is free and the Friends welcome all visitors. All money raised at the exhibition will go towards the Eastbourne DGH and the Friends' Special Project of 2024 to raise £500k to purchase a Gamma Camera for the Radiology Department, therewith improving the detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
