Open Gardens - Folkington Place

About

The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital are holding their final Open Garden of the season at the beautiful Folkington Place. Entry is by donation, and all funds raised will support the staff, patients and visitors of Eastbourne DGH. The Friends volunteers will also be selling tickets for the raffle, and manning refreshment stalls.

We will be joined at 2pm by the Ukeholics for a live performance of ukulele music to accompany the afternoon.

Equally fascinating, and accessible in the same location, is Folkington Church, where the graveyard is the resting place of Elizabeth David CBE, celebrated cookery writer and whose tombstone features the tools of her trade.

Dogs, unfortunately, are not allowed at the Open Garden and neither will it be possible to leave them outside.
