The South Downs National Park is around 1,600 square kilometers and stretches all the way from Eastbourne to Winchester, wrapping up the Lewes District along the way. The dramatic chalk cliffs of Beachy Head are a staple landmark within the park and are one of Eastbourne's main landmarks. Why not make your way to Belle Tout Lighthouse, a decommissioned Lighthouse that now acts as a Bed & Breakfast. From here, you'll have the picture postcard perfect image of the Beachy Head Lighthouse down at sea level.

Eastbourne is so much more than just a town, and there's gems to be discovered throughout. Sovereign Harbour is the biggest composite marina in the UK and home to a number of restaurants and shops. Or discover local heritage through one of our heritage trails.

With fantastic transport links across East Sussex, Eastbourne is a great place to base yourself if you're planning on exploring more on what Sussex has to offer. Just 20 minutes on the train is the historic town of Lewes, or jump on the Brighton & Hove Coaster bus for a scenic journey to Seaford & Newhaven.
