About
We are set in one of the most envied positions for any golf course. High on a plateau behind Beach Head with amazing views both over the South Downs and also out to the English Channel. Out to sea you can see some 80 miles from Dungerness in the East to the Isle of Wight!
The course was laid out by 5 times Open Champion J.H.Taylor 100 years ago this year, and at 6601 yards from the white tees and is recognised as one of the best-kept courses in the County. We have beautiful, fast greens and still play 14 laid out in 1908, so you can probably guess their quality.
Located at the start of the South Downs National Park, the 110 year old golf course employs a club professional and offers mens, ladies, seniors and junior competitions as well as a well-stocked golf shop.
Come along, you will recieve a warm welcome. If you have a non-golfer with you, then there is no better place to sit and admire the great views from our bar or restaurant. We have a reputation as a very friendly Club, so pay us a visit and after the superb course take it easy with a drink and a meal overlooking the Sea. We think you will want to come back.
Annual membership to Eastbourne Downs Golf Course costs £900 per year, with green fees for non-members starting at just £15.
