Brand New Event: Eastbourne Run Festival
Introducing the all new Eastbourne Run Festival, a brand new family friendly event taking place along Eastbourne seafront on 15 August!
Comprised of four races and featuring categories for both adults and children, runners can opt to complete the ‘Mini Mile’, 5K, 10K or 10 mile course, with a bespoke finishing medal for every participant.
While the races are underway, spectators can enjoy family entertainment and music while cheering on loved ones from the Start/Finish line at the Western Lawns, and can even get a birds eye view of the races from the neighbouring 35 metre tall big wheel, the Eastbourne Eye.
Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Enterprise, Councillor Margaret Bannister said “We are delighted to include a brand new event within our offering this year.
This fun, healthy event is great for the whole family to get involved in with the flat, seafront course creating the perfect opportunity for anyone new to running looking for their first challenge or for more accomplished runners to achieve a personal best!”
The Eastbourne Run Festival will take place on the Western Lawns on Sunday 15 August. Featuring staggered race starts, the first race will begin at 10am.
Entries are open now with entry fees ranging from just £5 - £20. Places are limited to 100 spaces per race distance and are booked on a first come, first served basis. Runners are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment. To find out more and to enter, visit www.VisitEastbourne.com/Run-Festival
