Race is on to Secure Last Remaining Spaces to the Beachy Head Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K

Time is running out for anyone wanting to register to take part in this year’s Eastbourne Marathon, Beachy Head Half and 10K!
The three events, which will see runners head off at the start of the South Downs Way and take in picturesque views of Beachy Head and the South Downs along the race route, take place throughout October and are suitable for people of all abilities from beginners, walkers and joggers to world class runners.
The Beachy Head Half Marathon and 10K in particular are perfect for those who are getting into fitness or looking to fundraise for a charity close to their heart, but with race entry deadlines approaching soon any keen runners must sign up soon or miss out.
Eastbourne Borough Council Lead Cabinet Member for Tourism and Culture, Councillor Margaret Bannister said, “Set against the backdrop of Eastbourne’s stunning seafront and coastline, these events have proved hugely popular over recent years with first time runners and veteran runners alike.
With spaces filling up fast for these three events, entries will close as soon as capacities are filled so I would encourage those wishing to take part to avoid waiting until the last minute to enter and sign up as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out!

In it’s second year, The Beachy Head Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 17 October, with entries closing by Thursday 30 September. The route encompasses much of the marathon route but detours into new surroundings which still have that amazing, picturesque scenery.
The Beachy Head Marathon – on Saturday 23 October - is one the biggest off-road marathons in the UK. Formerly known as the Seven Sisters Marathon, it is popular for its scenic and challenging route through the South Downs National Park countryside.
The 26.2 mile route is great for runners, joggers or walkers. With fewer than 100 places left, the closing date for entries is by Thursday 7 October.
The 10k run on Sunday 24 October will set off with a route comprising of breath-taking views and challenges, taking a shorter looping route across the Downs to Belle Tout Lighthouse and back.
Entries will close by Thursday 7 October for the 10K.
