Top Tributes Return to Eastbourne Bandstand in 2023
30th November 2022
Top tribute acts, concert bands, proms and fireworks are set to return to Eastbourne Bandstand in 2023, with tickets on sale from 1 December.
The popular Bandstand tribute nights have been held at the Devonshire Quarter while extensive renovations are underway at the seafront landmark.
With those works due to be completed in time for the start of the season next April, a packed programme of tribute shows, traditional afternoon concerts and 1812 Proms nights with firework displays has been released, prior to the box office opening on 1 December.
The season kicks off on Friday 28 April when leading tribute act Pure Queen perform their Queen Tribute Show at the Bandstand, followed by a Bruno Mars Tribute Show with American Idol star Jeff Dingle on Saturday 29 April.
The Bruno Mars look-and-sound-a-like, with the moves to match, appeared on the US talent show in 2004 and has performed around the world, eventually settling in the UK and winning the National Tribute Music Awards in 2018.
New acts for 2023 will see tributes to the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Stranglers, Shania Twain, The Eurythmics, Rolling Stones and Neil Sedaka, while many favourites return including Coldplay, ELO, Bee Gees, Pink, George Michael, Guns N’ Roses and Jersey Boys.
Tribute shows will be held on most Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights each month throughout the spring, summer and autumn until The Zoots bring a spooktastic close to the season with their famous Halloween show on 28 October.
The 1812 Proms and Firework Nights also return to the Bandstand from 3 May with weekly concerts every Wednesday night at 8pm.
Traditional afternoon concerts return to the Bandstand from 7 May with concerts every Sunday at 3pm featuring music from brass, concert and silver bands.
The Royal British Legion Central Band will return with a week-long run of concerts from 30 July to 4 August, including Big Band, 1812 & Proms, traditional afternoon and Sunday evening concerts. Weekly tickets are available to all nine concerts, saving 20% on ticket prices.
Airbourne fans can also enjoy some live music after a day of flying displays with tributes to Phil Collins & Genesis, ABBA and Adele at the Bandstand during the evening.
“The Winter Garden and Welcome Building have been wonderful venues as part of the Bandstand on Tour programme while the Bandstand was undergoing essential repairs, but it will be great to see those events return to our much-loved seafront landmark.”
Full details of all the events at the Bandstand are available by visiting www.eastbournebandstand.co.uk with tickets on sale from 10am on 1 December. Gift vouchers are also available to redeem against any show of choice.
